Sheikh It!: Our Dubai Travel Guide

We love Dubai. Whether you want to ski, dive or shop (or do all 3 in one day!), it’s the perfect holiday destination for everyone. It also happens to be one of the trendiest cities in the Middle East. But don’t fret – our fashion fairies will help you pack the perfect wardrobe for your trip:

Desert Safari x Shantanu & Nikhil
The desert safari is undoubtedly our favourite activity in Dubai. From racing over the dunes in a jeep, riding a camel, and our favourite part: the open air BBQ full of sumptuous Arabic delights like hummus, shish-taok and shawarmas… ooh our stomachs are grumbling already! And obviously no excursion is complete without the perfect outfit! Shantanu & Nikhil strike again with their bronze waterfall asymmetrical anarkali. Free form and flowing, team it up with some statement earrings to keep you looking desert chic!

The Souks x Ridhima Bhasin
Whether you are after spices, perfumes or even gold, Dubai’s Souks are a feast for the senses. We especially love the Gold Souk (obviously!) with its never-ending lanes of gold and jewelry stores: the perfect time to stock up on some arm candy (and a magic carpet)! Just remember to bargain! And nothing would drive home a bargain quite like this fierce Ridhima Bhasin jacket with gold net dhoti pants. Super simple and easy, this outfit is a great addition to your travel wardrobe.

Atlantis the Palm x Papa Don’t Preach
We love Papa Don’t Preach’s asymmetrical black embroidered sleeveless jacket with dhoti pants for a day at Atlantis the Palm. Whether you are frolicking at the water park, or visiting one of their phenomenal restaurants, this look is perfect to take you from beach to bar. Try the jacket over swimwear and a pair of statement shades for a little glamour by Dolphin Bay; or wear it with the dhoti pants and a pair of high heels to help you sheikh it at the club.

  1. Hi,
The dresses are beautiful but in my opinion not apt for the places mentioned. I am a frequent traveller to Dubai and the fashion style is very casual there. The dresses shown here can be worn for dinner parties n formal occasions but are not day wear and definitely cannot be worn to beaches or malls or resorts. Though the first n second dress can be worn to the grand mosque in Abu Dhabi, with a scarf to cover the head and they will add to the beauty of the mosque. There are other clothes in your collection that will be more apt like Ridhi Mehra palazzo with crop top. I feel like taking some of these clothes for my next trip.

    1. Hey Rachita –
I’m glad that you like some of the pieces that we featured, although maybe not for the selected activities. I’ll definitely do another one, focusing on more day wear! Are you going on holiday anytime soon?
