Trend Alert: Bare-ly There

Birthday suit, champagne, bare-foot, bare-ly there, samoan sand, au natural, sheer bliss the list for punny and not so punny names for ‘nude’ – the hottest trend to hit the red carpet this year – goes on and on.

Luckily its also one of the easiest trends to adopt and make your own.. aaah.. sheer bliss.

 Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: Elie Saab
Yes! She totally Cannes!

Aishwarya absolutely nailed this look. The blush pink swathes of embroidered fabric, the corseted bodice with the pencil thin belt… swoon… this dress says modern day Disney Bollywood princess in all the right ways. And of course the look wouldn’t be complete without her perfectly quaffed deep side parting and ‘natural’ waved mane and luscious red wine lipstick.

Lucky for us, Veda Raheja and Rina Dhaka are ahead of the game:

We love this full length nude toned dress by Veda Raheja. It has a flattering geometrically beaded body, that opens into an a-line skirt, and peek-a-boo cut out back. Streamlined, and elegant, this look is equally perfect for a day-time wedding or an evening cocktails.

Rina Dhaka takes a more modern take on the trend with her strapless sequined champagne gown. The sequin strips in vertical lines elongate the body and give the illusion of a tiny waist. It’s the perfect outfit for when you want to add a little drama to your evening.

So whatever your tone or style, grab some hair curlers (or head to your local salon) and pick up some awesome wine kissed lipsticks (MAC, Revlon and Maybelline have a great selection) and get your strut on.
